Before You Apply to Foster
If you have never owned or fostered a poodle before, we recommend that you read the following:

Do you understand and accept:

  • The responsibility for making and keeping the vet appointments for your fosters
  • The extra demands upon your time imposed by sick or traumatized dogs
  • Vet bills will be paid by Coastal Poodle Rescue, but food and incidentals will be paid by you
  • Your area coordinator is responsible for locating a permanent home for your foster
  • You will be asked to participate in the adoption process
  • Your foster dog may be with you for a few weeks to several months
If you are ready and have read the above-listed pages, you will need to gather the following information:

  • Your current or previous vet name and phone number
  • Current or previous groomer name and phone number
  • Three personal references
  • If you rent, your landlord's name and phone number
